Bridges Part 1

December 8, 2017

Sailing the San Francisco Bay and Suisun Bays over the summer, we went under numerous bridges. All of us have seen the Golden Gate Bridge many times but not so many of us have gone under the bridge, especially on a sail boat.  Here are two pictures, the first taken the morning of July 3rd as Athena was heading to the bridge on a typical San Francisco cold and foggy July day after a 14 hour grind up the coast from Monterey.  Brrr! Cappuccino ahead, we hoped.  The second shot, taken from inside the Bay looking west on October 3rd, sees the Bay lit up by the sun on a choppy day with the Blue Angels flying above during the Fleet Week celebration.

More bridges to come.
